Due to its proximity to Mae Had, Haad Sairee is the perfect place from which to enjoy the beach and explore the island. All boats to and from Koh Tao leave and arrive at Mae Haad, a five-minute taxi ride away.
Once in Sairee, there are taxis, car and bike rental companies in the village and the road is good, so getting out and about is no problem.
There are also government offices in Mae Haad town, as well as plenty of ATMs and bike rental shops. Those who are looking for specific products might struggle occasionally in Koh Tao, but the collection of supermarkets, boutique and local shops should keep you supplied with all of life’s essentials during your stay.

Healthcare in Haad Sairee
There are a few clinics on Koh Tao but the biggest can be found in Sairee Beach. Sairee Clinicprovides professional 24-hour medical care next to the 7-Eleven in Sairee Village. Diving Medicine Hotlines (Tel: +66 (0)81 989 9482) also has staff who speak a good level of English. For anything more serious, patients must be taken to the hospital in either Koh Samui or Chumphon by ferry. Always make sure your travel insurane is up-to-date as these trips are liable to be expensive.
